The Outdoor Portrait

The light outside and the surrounding green light up the model's skin in a variety of color reflections — a special combination of plein-air and portrait painting.
If you already have portrait painting experience, working outdoors opens up new, atmospheric opportunities — and at the same time presents you with exciting challenges in dealing with light and color.
The exact meeting point will be announced a few days before the course, in stable weather in northern English Garden, for unstable weather in Akthofs courtyard. In case of very bad weather, the class takes place in Akthof and we work with artificially created light reflections.
Prerequisites: This is a course for advanced students who have already dealt with portrait painting. Maximum 6 participants.
Material: oil, acrylic paints or any other painting technique you are familiar with. Field easel if available (a few can be placed). Painting materials for oil paints are provided.

Akthof Course Booking
You can sign up for our courses here. Simply select the appropriate course from the form.
You will receive confirmation of your registration from us and your place in the course will be reserved for you and is binding. Courses priced above 25€ require a minimum prepayment of 25€. Your place in the course is only guaranteed after receipt of payment. If the course is already fully booked, we will inform you.
Cancellation: The cancellation of a course registration must be made in writing. If the cancellation is received up to 15 days before the start of the course, you will be refunded the course fee minus the deposit paid. If you cancel from the 14th day before the start of the course or if you do not show up, no refund of the course fee is possible.
The decisive time for the cancellation is the date of receipt. Alternatively, it is always possible to organize a substitute participant. All details are in our General terms and conditions.
