Monotype - Creative Printing Technique
The monotype is a very inspiring printing technique that can be produced using a metal, acrylic or glass plate, even without a printing press. With just a few tools, such as 1-3 colors, you can achieve beautiful results on printing paper and are therefore in the middle of an experiment, regardless of the topic, whether intuitive, realistic or abstract, whether landscape, ornamentation, collage, or figurative.
The monotype only has one print. However, they can also be further developed with mixed media, e.g. by overprinting with suitable objects such as fruit nets, cardboard boxes or bubble wraps. Putting, painting, rolling and drawing are also options for further processing. This creates completely individual and graphic works. In addition to all the other printing techniques, the monotype is an extremely exciting and easy-to-use outsider.
