The depiction of the human body has been one of the central and most fascinating themes in painting for centuries. It combines the study of proportion, expression and character. In this course, you will learn basic painting techniques to sensitively and expressively capture the nude in its colorful appearance. The color is not only used as a means of design, but also as a carrier of emotional mood.
Course content: We work with a deliberately reduced color range. The shades are mixed in advance and coordinated with the model to enable a concentrated and efficient examination of color and form. At the same time, this approach promotes free, playful experimentation, which can take nudes from purely academic to a fresh, individual visual language.
The basics of proportion, lighting and shadow management are taught. For advanced participants, topics such as texture, brushwork and composition come into focus. Occasional painting demonstrations provide insights into the artistic process. Work is done with oil or acrylic paints.

Titanium white, light cadmium yellow (Important! Not just "ton/imitation", but the cadmium pigment), yellow ocher, pyrrole red or vermillion red, quinacridone pink or alizarin crimson, transparent oxide red or burnt sienna, ultramarine blue, dark phthalo blue

To tone the painting surfaces: Gerstäcker I Love Art acrylic paint cold gray #700 or (more expensive) Lascaux Studio acrylic paint 979 neutral gray light (Golden Acrylics Neutral Gray N6 #1446)

Cancellation: The cancellation of a course registration must be made in writing. If the cancellation is received up to 15 days before the start of the course, you will be refunded the course fee minus the deposit paid. If you cancel from the 14th day before the start of the course or if you do not show up, no refund of the course fee is possible.
