The Language of Hands

Would you like to be able to draw hands well? Also foreshortened and in the right proportion to face and body? You can practice this in this course, among other things. 

The hand is of particular importance in human representation and especially in portraits. Yet it is often neglected. Either the model doesn't sit long enough or you feel overwhelmed by it.

Being able to draw a hand well opens up completely new possibilities of expression for us, as it is the element that, in addition to the emotional expression of the face, can tell us something about how a person communicates with their environment and how they work in it.

With a better understanding of the construction and anatomy of hands, your spatial representations will be more convincing. 
An additional look at various representational variants (e.g. hatching or contrasts) can also increase your drawing skills.
 We work with skeletons, with templates, with our own hand and partly with models.
 


Suitable for beginners and advanced users.
